💡SKILLS SPOTLIGHT
You’re Ready—You Just Don’t Feel Like It 👊🏽

If you’ve ever held back from applying for a role, speaking up in a meeting, or taking on a big project because you didn’t “feel ready,” you’re not alone.

Here’s the truth: readiness isn’t a feeling. It’s a decision.

Confidence doesn’t show up before the leap—it’s built in the process of taking it.

Think about it: how many times have you felt unsure in the moment, but looking back, you realize you were capable all along? That’s because growth and self-doubt often show up at the same time.

3-Question Readiness Self-Check
The next time you feel the urge to hesitate, ask yourself:
1️⃣Have I succeeded at something I once thought I couldn’t?

2️⃣Do I have at least part of the knowledge/skills I’ll need - and the ability to learn the rest?

3️⃣Will this opportunity stretch me closer to the career I want?
If you answer “yes” to even two of these questions, you’re more ready than you feel.

Self-doubt is a signal of growth, not a stop sign. The discomfort means you’re stepping into new territory—and that’s exactly how careers are built.
