Biotech Avengers: Quality Auditors Assemble!

A Quality Auditor in the biotech world is like a detective for compliance—they make sure everything, from how medicine is made to how it’s documented, follows strict industry rules like GMP, FDA, and ISO guidelines. They visit labs, review systems, and double-check the details to catch issues before regulators do, helping companies stay on track and produce safe, high-quality products.

🎓Major:
- Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs, Biomedical Engineering, Microbiology, and other related science degrees.

🧪Job functions:
A Quality Auditor plays a key role in making sure that biotech companies are following the rules when it comes to safety, quality, and regulations. Think of them as the quality checkpoint—they help prevent errors, improve systems, and make sure products are safe for patients. Some key responsibilities include:
🔎Plan, conduct, and report on internal audits and supplier/vendor audits.
🔎Review quality systems, documentation, and operational procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
🔎Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
🔎Collaborate with departments like QA, QC, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing.
Support inspection readiness and regulatory agency audits (e.g., FDA or EMA).
Stay current with industry regulations and quality standards.

Technical:  
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA, ICH, and ISO regulations – Core compliance knowledge for pharma/biotech environments
- Audit Methodologies – Familiarity with internal, external, and supplier audits
- CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) Systems – Understanding how to spot issues and follow up with solutions
- Root Cause Analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams) – Tools to dig deeper into problems
