đź’ˇSKILLS SPOTLIGHT
Show Up Like a Leader — Even Without the Title!

🗣️Executive presence is one of those career buzzwords that sounds vague—until you realize it’s the thing that determines whether people see you as “leadership material” or not.

The good news? You don’t have to wait for a promotion to start building it.

✨✨Here are 5 elements of executive presence every STEM professional should start cultivating right now:

1. Confidence without arrogance
Speak with clarity and purpose—even if you’re unsure. You can say “I don’t know yet” and still exude poise.

2. Strategic communication
Don’t just talk—translate. Whether you’re in a meeting or writing a report, help others understand the bigger picture and why it matters.

3. Composure under pressure
Leaders keep a cool head. When stress hits, take a breath, ask clarifying questions, and focus on solutions.

4. Influence through relationships
People with executive presence build trust, not just authority. That means listening well, showing respect, and elevating others when possible.

5. Visibility with value
Don’t wait to be “discovered.” Speak up in meetings. Share your wins. Volunteer for high-impact opportunities.

This week’s challenge:
👉🏼Pick ONE of the five and focus on practicing it every day for the next 7 days.
You’ll be surprised how quickly you start to feel (and be seen as) a leader.

Let me know which one you’re working on. I’d love to hear how it goes!
